A couple of my local Diners- gone but not forgotten - when I took these pictures I had no idea they would be history.

Moondance Diner, NYC
Moondance Diner, 6th Ave NYC.
this diner a landmark and included in so many movies,
most famously Spiderman. The site is now  a hotel.
Has been moved to La Barge, Wyoming!

Empire Diner, NYC
The Empire Diner, 10th Ave NYC "the Hippest Diner on Earth"
- movies include Woody Allen's Manhattan., Men in Black 2 (thus the Earth reference), and many more. Chelsea Landmark, Closed May 2010

Peculiar Pub- Bleecker Street, NYC.
NYU area - across from my apartment.

Sullivan Street Playhouse, copyright Richard Eyerman
Sullivan Street Playhouse, 181 Sullivan Street, NYC.
Another classic gone forever, where “The Fantastiks”
ran for more than 40 years until 2002.
Just around the corner - now a expensive Apartment Bldg.
Prior to its conversion to a theater, long-time Village residents report that the building was home to a nightclub and speakeasy operated by Jimmy Kelley,
a long-time Greenwich Village Democratic Party boss.
